Provide persons of all ages, skill levels, physical and sensory ability and financial means, access to water sports recreation and competition. To advocate safe water sports as an educational, life sport, fitness and social activity for individuals, families and groups from our community, region and beyond.

METHODS:

• Finance, construct and operate the Duluth Community Water Sports Center, consisting of buildings, docks and other site improvements for this purpose. These facilities are for the Duluth Boat Club, affiliate organizations, and the community at large to accommodate program instruction and delivery; meeting and classroom space; safety training; personal fitness; storage, repair and maintenance of boats and equipment; social events, and other activity consistent with this mission.
• Serve as an umbrella organization, joining with compatible organizations to create a highly visible, centralized place for water sports activity. Combine individual sports and programs in one location to create synergy and expansion of existing independent programs.
• Bring water sports within reach to youth, families, economically or physically disadvantaged at risk youth, and other groups or individuals for whom these activities would not otherwise be available.
• Provide scholarship opportunities for program participants by securing financial support in addition to operating fees and memberships.
• Conduct regional, national and international special events, sponsored by the Club or cooperating organizations.
